Nigeria 2008

We arrived in Lagos and spent the night and I ministered at a church there. From Lagos, we traveled by plane to Abuja . Then we traveled by car to Lokoja .

In Lokoja we went to the women's Convention. I was there for three days. We arrived late at the first meeting of the Convention, but the welcome they gave me was wonderful. I didn't have time to use my projector or powerpoint, so I "winged" it and spoke on God being our portion. I had an altar call for those that wanted to give Jesus more of themselves and who wanted to make Jesus their portion. I ministered in song before each time I spoke. From Lokoja, we traveled to Ankpa , Nigeria. This area is known for being mostly Muslim and very poor. Again, we arrived late, and the welcome was overwhelming. Such beautiful people that were anticipating my arrival. They had many presentations prepared for me including a children's choir, Drama, Youth dance team, and Church choir. I felt like royality. I am so thankful for the power of God that falls on the hearts and lives of people. That is what happened as I preached in Ankpa. We even saw someone be healed from Rheumotiod arthritis during a prayertime. The people have so little material wise, but are rich when it comes to God. He is their all. I can see why there is an open heaven in Africa.

From Ankpa we traveled to Otukpo , Nigeria. This is where Rejoicing Faith Ministries International, and Pastor Philip Gideon, and Royal House Of Glory, Pastor Innocent Oyefioda hosted Revival meetings that I spoke at. It was here that we had a healing service and many people were healed of so many things, including a man who had HIV/AIDS. He was prayed for in the evening, and the next morning he felt compelled to go to his doctor to see if he still had it. The doctor did some tests on him and found NO HIV/AIDS in him. In fact, the doctor gave the man a certificate stating he was HIV free!!! Praise God for His healing power!

After leaving Otukpo, we traveled to Makurdi, Nigeria where I ministered at Firm Foundation church. Again, God poured out His spirit on everyone and many lives were touched. During our time in Makurdi, I spoke at a Pastor's Conference. What an honor to share the word with my fellow ministers. Also during the time in Makurdi, I was interviewed on the state radio; "Joy FM." Ena (Rahab) asked me many questions about my book, "The Garbage man Always Comes On Fridays," and about my CD, "Brokenness." I was told that they have over 10 million listeners, and it was broadcast to over 11 states in Nigeria. What a blessing to have my songs still played on the state radio in Nigeria. Callers were calling in to talk to me, but we were out of time. I do pray I will be able to go back to that radio station and spend more time with the listeners who call in. I made so many new forever friends. The people were so loving and kind to us. It was so easy to speak in Africa. There truly was an open heaven there. My prayer is for that open heaven to come to the United States and free the hearts of those in bondage.
